[quote="... If you leave the manual trans in the car, you have to slide the spline all the way out to let it be free. To do this you will have to side your engine forward a few inches to the front of the engine bay. [/quote] This quote above is what I would be looking for. You should be able to...

Re: 76-86 Transmission Compatibily Questions
Thanks oldeskewltoy. I appreciate those tips and will certainly research them further. It sounds like with most of those options I will need a different driveshaft since moving over the output shaft could be impossible or difficult. Maybe its time to just replace the entire drivetrain... for the cos...

Re: my 81 wagon with new updates on page 3
I like the way the wagon looks with the baby supes, pilones, bms and mesh wheels best. I like those SR5 wheels too. they look really good refinished. Any pics of those on the car?
And where'd you score those mats?
I have a brown liftback so your pics give me ideas on wheels and color combos....

76-86 Transmission Compatibily Questions
Hi all. For as long as I've been working on cars, I typically just run stock setups and maintain them the way they are. I've never been into the customization or performance aspect. I've been trying to do some research lately both here and on other online sources about transmissions. The T50 in my 7...

Anyone running 15x8 +20?
Interested in seeing any pics of anyone running 15x8 +20, specifically on a TE51 coupe or liftback. Just trying to get an idea of how far they would stick out.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Intake Manifold Coolant Leak, not your typical...
Thanks baldo. The car is stock. I'm not really into modifying. I am very comfortable with cars, carbs and general mechanics after 35 years of working on them :) I've just been away from these old toyotas for about 20 years or so and am refamiliarizing myself with them again. It's slowly coming back ...

Re: Intake Manifold Coolant Leak, not your typical...
coolant hose delete? hmm. well, I do remember some guys doing this back in the early 80s. Some used to swear it even gave them a few extra horsepower, supposedly because it removed excess warm air going into the engine. I've always been on the fence about that. Are there any disadvantages? I realize...

Re: Intake Manifold Coolant Leak, not your typical...
Thanks Boblook. Ironically, I had just completed putting everything back together again since I just installed a new carb with all manifold gaskets. I'm going to try RTV type sealant around the edge to see if that works. I'll give this a shot before taking it all back apart and post results after a ...

Intake Manifold Coolant Leak, not your typical...
I have developed a coolant leak which appears to be coming from the underside of my 2tc intake manifold. It is not the coolant hose, nor is it leaking from the gasket where it meets the head. It appears to be leaking from the seam of the manifold itself. Anyone else ever have this happen? I attached...
