Re: Mango From San Diego

Nice car! Ratio: your car probably has 4:10 ratio in the rear. If this is the case, you can go 65 no problem on the FWY. 3rd gear in the trans is like a straight 1:1, but being an auto slushbox, it isn't 100% efficient. Don't be afraid to wind the 2tc out in RPM. You will find that its happy place i...

Re: Ryan's TE38

I got 2 new tires on the mesh wheels. These are them with both on one side. I think the tires are a bit big for the front. Lots of traction with them both on the back. http://i707.photobucket.com/albums/ww80/tikiroar/Beater%20wagon/IMG_20150420_183511176_HDR_zpsoicyobcb.jpg http://i707.photobucket.c...

Re: TE72 random parts... more parts added

I am looking for a corolla diff with a high ratio. I had a 3.583 ratio. Something around there would be nice. Goes on a 74 te27 delulxe.
I am also looking for 4 Stock 3tc pistons that are in good shape.
Do you have any TE38 wagon bodies? I may need metal patches for mine.

Re: Ryan's TE38

It was on CL in LA area. This thing is rough. Interior needs all new. It runs better and better every time I drive it. More of its electrical components are coming alive too. Ryan's TE38

I ended up with another project car. It is a 1975 (pre-smog for CA) TE38 E5. I bought it cheap. I drive 300+ miles to see the car. The ad said "Runs Good". I got there and he said it hasn't been driven for 7 years and he had just got it started. He had owned the car for a long time. It ser...

Re: Ryan's TE-27

This 27 has some frame rot under the battery area, but it is all original and hasn't been registered since the late 80s or early 90s. It will be better than new one day. Wheel progress. Insides and back in gloss medium grey and the front is etching primer flat greenish until I decide on a color. Thi...
