Considering parting out my engine swap... 3tc/AE86 swap 3tc stock bore short block, needs rebuilt (spun a bearing) but is complete. Rods and pistons only have 3100 miles cam not included. $300 Crane 296 cam $150 3tc head with dual valvesprings and 3 angle valve job $275 Toyota 1515 custom stainless ...

Check that the rad. Is not clogged,,,you can disconnect the hose that's on the back of the head that goes to the heater control valve and there you will see if water is circulating ..(with car on) Water is circulating. Radiator isn't clogged. I think my water pump DID fail. I tried everything else....

Staying n/a for now.
I have a 296 cam, and I am going to get my head shaved to the max, along with a good port and polish. Then maybe a 75 shot of nitrous

I just got a chance to play with the car today.
Absolutely NO smoke.
I set the timing to TDC.
Installed a water temp gauge.

Car is still overheating at idle.
My HG is good.
My electric fan is functional.

My Ideas:
Maybe my water pump did go bad???
Plugged water jacket.

Any other thoughts???

That's honestly what I'm leaning toward because I love the torque it puts out. Here in a week or so, I am going to get my head shaved, and ported and polished for a nice little hp gain
