I cleaned the points and dizzy cap which were pretty corroded. The car started pretty easily for about 10 or so seconds with carb cleaner but then died. I trie...

Re: TE51 Build 1976 Liftback

Grabbed some pictures of the finished steering gearbox and rag joint installed. Looks like surface rust formed on some of the pieces. I saw some on my suspension that I didn't paint and the new brake booster is covered. Maybe I'll remove and paint at a later date. Also are some dashboard pictures ho...

Re: TE51 Build 1976 Liftback

Lots happened in the meantime, met a girl, got married, quit my job, started a new job, moved, etc. The sunkist liftback is stillllll kicking though and I've finally gotten back into working on it. The past few years included some pretty dark times in my li...

Re: TE51 Build 1976 Liftback

I feel ashamed with the lack of updates. :-( The place I ordered the SST from (handsontools.com) says they didn't have it in stock, even though their website said they did. They won't have one made until late nov. until then i'm working on the window reg and researching rear end suspension rebuild. ...

It should be here in the next week so I can finally finish this steering gearbox.........geez this thing is dragging along. I need to get along to more entertaining topics.........like rear suspension and engine bits...

I think it was 120 for the pair. incl. pressure testing for leaks. The store that made them for me is called Cline in ...
