Re: overheating in traffic
Lots of those fans are reversible but you have to change the blade around also. Make sure the blade is facing the correct way.

Bad ground wont blow the fuse. Drawing too many amps or direct short. Sounds like direct short. Double check your alarm connections.

Re: Charge light on. Car runs fine but dies when braking.
Common for brake light to be on when alt. goes bad. Check for 14.5 volts when running and 12.5 when off with voltmeter.
The sound from the back is another problem, possibly worn brake shoes.

Re: wobble and shake.........
Front suspension is worn. Could be tie rods, pitman, idler or all of them.
Usually shakes in the 25 to 40 mph range. Slower or faster steering doesnt shake as much.

Re: Distributor upgrade question
A lot of those are dual point which is just double the headache. Stock electronic with upgraded ignition is fine for most people. Set it once and done.
If you do happen to find the electronic ones then you better also stock up on cap and rotors.

Re: Radiator questions
I think the top hose on your radiator is on the wrong side. You can just turn the 3tc thermostat housing around to fix that or buy a TE31 radiator with the top hose being on the correct side.
