I've replaced my rear hatch lift supports with new Sach's brand and they are still lack luster. They will hold the hatch up, but you have to lift it 95% of the way there. I had 250lb/in up front on my fully trimmed wagon daily driver. It may have been a bit stiffer than stock, but still very much a daily; not too stiff. I wouldn't recommend the Weber for mpg. I had a stock 3TC with Weber 32/36, headers and 2.25" exhaust, tuned 15-16:1 AFR at cruise. Large tires, roof rack, fully trimmed wagon and got 23-27mpg. I never ran the stock setup, the carb was shot when I got the car.
