Re: Looking for 3TGTE gaskets
Thanks for the pics, looks interesting. My plan at this stage is to modify the TA22 cross member for rack and pinion. I'll have my engine out this weekend, I can then take some measurements and figure out a plan. I have a feeling that there maybe some clearance issues with the steering column head ...

Re: Looking for 3TGTE gaskets
Thanks Ryan, Didn't know of that site. I've sent an inquiry to see if they have the parts I need. Thanks for the link! Cheers, Simon I hope it works out for you. I'll keep an eye on your rebuild as I may have to do the same. Also, I saw that you are working on a solution for a rack and pinion steer...

Re: Burning Oil
your rings may be stuck with sludge, the best way to deal with the problem is taking it apart and hone it plus new rings and bearings while you at it, or if that is not an option, i got something that works 80% of the times i have try it, rotate the engine by hand and place all the pistons halfway ...

Burning Oil
I was finally able to fire up my 3tgte, problem is, it's spitting oil through the exhaust (also rough idle due to vacuum leak). I pulled out the plugs and as soon as I took the #3 plug out, smoke started coming out of the plug hole. Any other ideas beside that I may have a bad ring?
