Re: Toyota 2TG or 2TGE Distributor
fyi, that version on yahoo auction also requires an ignitor. If you find a 2tgeu diz with two black plastic covers inside and a blue sticker on the side they have an internal ignitor so it will connect straight to the coil.

Re: TT141 3TGTE Corona skidder
Well that was short lived... I found a replacement shell for the ke70 coupe, so rather than build this car as a temporary measure i'd rather just concentrate on the corolla. New shell is a te71 GT hardtop so everything should swap over from the coupe. apart from the tank because theres a ta63 IRS co...

Re: Its a shame
Corona lover eh. Ooh that would've been a hard decision to let go a nice te27! Well done though. I struggle letting go
Just picked up a project te71 GT hardtop with ta63 IRS conversion. So will sell the TT141 I had planned to do up for track duty and put the 3tgte in the te71 instead. fun

Re: Greetings! and exaust question
Welcome Joe! I cannot say where to get parts in the states as im very far from it. But 2t/3t engines were standard fitment to ta22/ta23/ta25/ta27/ta28 chassis, you get the idea. If you google for headers for those chassis you might find something. the head flange on all T engines are the same, so do...

Any chance the rear hatch chrome below the push button is in good condition? Not sure if your wagon has same part. looks like this with toyota on it.

Re: Hi to everyone
Good to see a 3t swap! These are getting old so if oil leaks are an issue definitely put a gasket kit into it if still has original crank seals and sump and rocker cover gaskets.

Re: Upgrading a stock 3tc
So im assuming you have a te72 sedan in USA? Theres plenty you can do to a 3tc for more power. Turbo etc. As for engine swaps, the e7 chassis has had pretty much everything you can think of shoehorned into it. The usual questions need to be asked.. what is your budget? How much of the work can you d...

Re: Car overheating with A/C on ONLY
Ok so temperature is fine with A/C off? Does it overheat whilst driving or only when stopped? Does the ac control any of the fans? Are the fans thermostatically controlled or running all the time (bad). Do you have a sump guard fitted? Theres a possibility the fans are not flowing enough air, or tha...
