Re: TE72 Manual vs. Power Steering Gearbox
Just an update:
Power steering mod has been working perfectly with no edits. Had some long roadtrips through spots with 90-100F air temps and no problems with operation of steering/leaks/pump noise etc. So far I would say no cooler is needed.

Re: Larger Vented Rotor Big Brake Upgrade for TE72 Corolla T
Some evolution has happened since first implementing this upgrade, figured I catch people up. The Hawk HPS Blue pads ate into the Oreilly's rotors like butter. They had noticeable grooves within months. This made for a VERY aggressive brake feel, which was awesome, but despite trying both another Ha...

Upgrade 2-Speed Wipers with Intermittent and Keep OE Switch
In my endless search for adding creature comforts (rear dome light, heated seats, heated mirrors, cruise control, USB charge ports, A/C, power steering, etc...) to my vintage daily-driver Corolla, I came across a cool product by Revolution Electronics. They have a rather clever module that adds thre...

80-82 Corolla Power Steering Gearbox -Any Shape Just a Core
I’d like to buy a power steering gearbox from an 80-82 corolla for a core return. I upgraded my wagon from manual to power and the manufacturer needs a power core. It doesn’t have to be in perfect working order – leaking, sloppy is fine. It is best if it hasn’t been sitting in a puddle for a decade ...

Re: TE72 Manual vs. Power Steering Gearbox
Update: I decided to mount the GM pump and just upgrade to power steering. I gotta say, man it's nice! The 0 offset 8" wheels have always been a pain to turn at slow speed. I ended up installing a Lares power unit I bought from Rockauto $155+core. BTW, Lares customer service is top notch, Dan w...
