Re: Santos Turbo 1.8 Update
Thank you sir. We ran 8.6 @ 157 2 weeks ago in Las Vegas. Here is a video of the pass http://www.youtube.com/embed/-3ivMlrUG9A Very nice! I'm going to guess you plan on sweet talking the car & engine combo into giving a bit more since it is all fresh? If I read correctly on your Facebook you ru...

Re: Dummy distributor
Assuming you will be using waste spark that should work well!
I have created a cam sync sensor with mine but cannot yet confirm its success as I have not yet reached fire up stage...

Re: MSD 6AL-2 programmable expiriance
Jason, this is dissapointing :( i have my 6AL-2 sitting waiting to put on my 2TB when i turbo it in a few weeks but you're saying it may be to my disadvantage? So better i lock the timing than use the 6AL-2? Hi Slaus, I am not a big fan of the MSD and its limitations - BUT - I still made plenty of ...

Re: Rotor phasing
Hi mate, Yes I have done the rotor phasing exercise on my 3TC dizzy. I would typically only do it when locking the dizzy to fixed timing (to use an ecu or other electronic timing computer). I pulled out the weights & springs of the advance mechanism. Then I removed the vacuum advance diaphram &a...

Re: MSD 6AL-2 programmable expiriance
Hi Boblook, My whinge with the MSD6AL-2 software is the 2D mapping. For 30PSI boost you can program (for example) 28 degrees timing. Regardless of whether you see 30PSI at 3000rpm through 7500rpm there is only one timing figure you can tell the engine... I prefer to be able to set timing by referenc...

Re: MSD 6AL-2 programmable expiriance
I used the MSD6AL-2 programmable ignition with map sensor on my 3TC turbo engine for a couple of years. It is marginal for functionality... :? The mapping for ignition is 2D only which I found terrible for my turbo charged application. By that I mean you only get to set ignition mapping by MAP senso...
