Re: 2TC head removal from car?
Yes. You can pull the head with the intake still attached. When you undo the rocker stands start from the middle and work out. It's best to get a manual. You will have to remove the pushrods. Set the engine up at tdc so its easy when pulling the new head on etc. follow the instructions or call arp f...

It will fit. splines are the same. I've never had any issues from another year to another and I change gears in the racecar all of the time.

Re: drive shaft ae86 te72
I don't think so because if the ae86 has the 6.7 rearend, the rearend is longer so the driveline is shorter. On my racecar when I changed from the 8 bolt rearend to the 10 bolt celica rearend I had a solid driveline made and I ended up knocking the pinion gear out when the car would squat under acce...

Re: exhaust on my 2T te71
We have used a 4ag header, cut the flange off and welder a 3t one one to make an easy fit. It's not far off. Takes a little pushing and you have to get the tubes square on the end for the 3t flange but it's not a big deal to do.

Re: oil way mods
You can pop the cap off of the rocker shafts and clean them out. It's nasty in there. Believe me. Also clean the oil groove order the rocker. They do get nasty after years of being on the road or sittin around. That's all you really need to do .

Re: oil way mods
You can pull the large bolt off of the oil pump, behind it is a spring. Ad a thin washer behind it. Will increase oil pressure. . Don't look for an extra thick washer or double up. A normal washer does a lot.

Re: What is interchangeable?
All timing components, cam, rods, head stuff is all interchangeable. You can put a 3t crank in later blocks with the bulges on the sides and early blocks with some grinding. Basically the cranks have a different stroke and the pistons have a different pin height. Other than that. They are the same b...
