I have 2 TE27s both 1974 models. One has the A40 like my 76 did, but the other has a 3fc. Are the 3fc transmissions decent? I read that they are also a 3 speed.

I have heard them called jellybeans. Just about every wheel maker made them back in the day. Cool project car.

Love the progress on your car. Do you have any more pics of the radiator core support? Did you just cut out the bad and weld a flat piece on the bottom? I am interested because I have to do the same on my TE27.

If I were you, I would look into VW type 2 aircooled springs to save on $$$
I'm looking forward to your engine build. If you could, give a parts list to what you end up using and the cost so others can get an estimate on a build like this.

I think you would be better off finding a 2 or 3tc complete engine and trans. Freshen it up as you see fit, and put it in.
