Re: 2tg engine vs 3tc
There is many other better options other than factory dizzy for the 3TGTE, coil over plug being the best of them all with Mitsu Montero coils 4 of them for all 8 plugs as they are dual outlet ones, it couldn't get any better than that, and trust me it will be as much as paying for a rare unobtanium...

Re: Cam bearings
So far the cam bearings that come in my blocks have been in good condition, my machinist recommended to leave the old ones in the block as they can be a pain in the butt to replace and I am assuming that is why you are having the clearancing issue. He has a good reputation over here so the old bear...

Re: The Golf Ball shaped pistons in 2TC
Thanks for that link. So if the emission Carburetor meters less fuel to a setup that has less volume per face of each piston would use less fuel with the same stroke, which would mean that its emission output should be less than the previous years pistons. Now add twin carburetors to this. Less cc's...

Re: Have anybody else used the Golf Ball shaped pistons in 2
This sounds interesting but I have a question,,, with the piston being that tall what you do about the valves? I was running 11.1 compression on my starlets engine and the pistons had to get notched and those look taller than the 11.1 and you do not mention notch the piston do they get notched?? I'...

Re: Have anybody else used the Golf Ball shaped pistons in 2
I think my 76 te31 has these in it. I could see their weird shape through the sparkplug hole with a light. Its a CA smog version. I believe that your car may be the same model, Look at the info inside your door and it should say California only and you should not have a cat attached to your exhaust...
