Re: te27 Flasher Help

My guess from the diagram shown above, would be the green wire with the white stripe on it, since it is related to both the flasher relay and turn signal. try jiggling that wire and try not to have the other wires move at the same time. If that causes the intermittent, then bypass or replace that wi...

Re: Gear oil

I saw this one Yahoo Answers when I typed in Spilled Gear Oil to Google. Note that this is not me answering, but the answer someone posted to someone else: Having been an auto mechanic for over 30 years getting unwanted oil and grease stains out of interior carpets has come up every now and then. Wh...

Re: HELP car won't start...again.

Do the windshield wipers or the heater turn on? I was looking at the diagram for the 78 model (latest diagram I have), and the engine, cluster, wipers and heater all seem to come in on a Black wire with yellow stripe to it, from the ignitor. Maybe the anti-freeze has shorted that wire. I'd make sure...

Re: te27 Flasher Help

Agreed, Hazard switch probably has dirty contacts. When you jiggle it, it probably reseats to a tiny clean area and causes the lights to work again. You can try turning the switch on/off a bunch of times for a temporary fix, but ultimately it will be better to open the switch up and clean inside oth...

Re: 2TC head removal from car?

Just wanted to say thanks! I cleaned it all up and replaced the valve cover gasket and spark plug gaskets and ran it for a few days and no more stuff is getting on the spark plugs, so I will be putting the new plugs on this week when I get my new spark plug cables. Thanks again! BTW, I see someone s...

What did you use to paint the valve cover and water intake? I like how it looks!

Re: Post forum bugs here

Not a bug, just something to be aware of. I had used the old link to get to the site (3tcgarage.com) and signed up for the board that way. Then I notice the new address (http://www.toyota3tcgarage.com)and went to it, and it required me to re-log in. Again, not a bug, just something for people to be ...

Re: Beard is still in development

Hope you are growing a nice long "beard". Seriously, I am glad to see that the board isn't just going to disappear forever. That was my first thought when I saw it gone. I had been on here years ago, and then haven't been on for years and just recenrtly started reading here again sin...

2TC head removal from car?

Hi all! I have a 1975 Corolla with 2TC engine and automatic transmission. Recently my neighbor and I have been working on it (Car has not ran in a few years). I was wondering how hard is it to take the head off the engine by ourselves in the garage. I don't have any experience on this, he has some m...

Re: Welcome to the new 3tcgarage

It's too bad people can't see this before they register and are activated. ;)

But I am glad to see the board is being worked on and hope all goes well.
