Compare 4door TE72 to 2door TE72 why is 4 door more popular?

Whenever i look for 80-83 corollas turned racecars or drift cars the most popular are the 4 door TE72's or KE70's? I find tons of 4 door corollas that are drift cars (especially in japan, Europe, and NZ) but seems like the 2 door just isn't as popular. What does the 4 door have that the 2 door doesn't? Is the 4 door more popular because of it's longer wheelbase? Does it have a longer wheelbase? Does anyone know why the 2 door 80-83 TE72 just isn't as popular as the 4 door?

The 4 door is more popular over there because they either didn't get the 2 door model or only a few of them. They also got a ton of 4AGE engines

For me the TE72 is one of a few cars that actually look better as a 4 door.

If its for autocrossing then the 4 door is probably more structurally sound. More rigidity maybe? I read about a guy in a magazine that autocrossed his 4 door integra because it pulled corners better than the 2 door. Now for drag racing it makes sense that a 2 door is probably lighter than a 4 door and thats probably a reason why its more popular besides the fact that I think it looks better in my opinion.

the reasson you see more 4 doors is cause the US and europe i think were the only ones with 2 doors and santos i think had a brochure that showed all the models available in japan and most of them were 4 doors
