82 Corolla Steering Wheel

I have a Nardi Steering wheel and bought a Boss Hub Kit for it off eBay. Also planned to put a 2.0 NRG Quick Release with it but when I put the Hub and Steering Wheel on the car it was already sticking out too much even without the Quick Release so I decided to buy an NRG Short Hub and attached the Quick Release to it and then the Steering Wheel but it's still sticking out pretty far. Is it just really like that or does anybody have any pictures of how quick releases look in their TE? Would replacing my Steering Column with an AE86 Steering Column work/help?

If It got a Good driving feeling and is not pushing you to close to your chest is allsome ,the long sterring wheel feeling.
