HOW TO TURN OFF CHG. LIGHT W/100 AMP??

Postby Whit on Sun Jun 03, 2012 12:16 pm

 OK I installed the one wire GM 100 amp. int. reg. alt. from a Saturn in my 78' TE51 Rolla.
All is well, just want to know how to turn off the charge and brake light on the dash and keep them functioning?

 Or just remove the bulbs from the dash so they dont light up.

Is this alt is 2 wires IGN +L ??
The IGN 12 V and the other L you need to use the Yellow white one the regulator plug harness side

This way you can test it

 Ok its done,my Sat. Alt. has 2 small wires on the plug that plugs into the Sat. alt..
 The one closest to the engine block I think it was marked PLT or something?Goes to the .V.R. plug.
 It has to go into 2 of the wires on the VR harness.the ones on the end next to each other.
 I just did this with the car running ,and checking different combinations till, the dash lights went off.
 The other small wire on the Sat. Alt. plug is left unhooked.Any one wire power hookup GM alternator should work.
 Brake light functions properly. :)
