Everyone who has a "rare" car or part

Maybe my definition of the word rare is a little different from most people but I find it funny how often that word is used. In my opinion a Toyota 2000gt could have the rare label attached to it, not any post 1st gen Corolla with the exception of the SR5 models.

Of course this varies depending on what part of the world you live in but to me it's not so much that any given car or part is rare but rather how hard you want to look for it.

The car is not but the flares are very rare. :-D . I will agree that rare is indeed a commercially used word for value. If you look hard enough you can find anything your looking for. I will also say that the harder it is to find that item the rarer it is giving it value. Then it comes down to how bad do you want it. $$$$$

I just feel like the word doesn't really fit any Corolla yet. Maybe a few of the oddball models but when someone with an ae86 says they have a rare car for sale I feel like I'm being conned.

AE86 doesn't need to be describe as "rare"... it is already kinda over valued in general. A genuine Black Limited... thats rare. In the US, a genuine rhd car is rare... but for $3k on top of what you pay on yahoo japan you can import your own.

Being olde (55) I remember when 64-66 Mustangs... V8 cars, could be purchased for $200. After all they made a million + Mustangs in those 3 years Try to find a 64-66 V8 Mustang priced anywhere near that today..........

As I see it... my AE71 coupe is pretty rare... you can't get replacement sheetmetal... glass is nearly non existent... try to find a set of tail lamps...

BUT I do like all of that... because I see more Tesla's driving around then I see E7 Corolla coupes
