ARP 3tc main stud torque spec

Post by noypiesky »

Does anyone know or remember how much torque to apply to the main cap ARP studs on the 3tc? I've searched Google and this site extensively but to no joy. Your guys help will surely be appreciated. TIA.

Hi mate,
Like you I cannot find a listing on ARP studs for the 3TC directly so the likes of Paradise Racing and others will simply be using a stud from another engine application which is the correct length.

I used 4G63 Mitsubishi head studs for the mains as they were correct length to tie in with my custom main stud girdle!

The tension I used was 100ft/lbs as per the Mitsubishi kit instructions.

Cheers,
Jason

Thanks guys. ARP does not list a main stud for the 3tc. I believe it was discontinued a few years back.
