building boost

Post by mallito1.8 »

Ok so here's a dumb question I think. My car when I use the 2 step with msd 6al and reving around 5-6000 rpm my gauge is not reading boost I check for leaks when I was on the dyno it only did 10#'s of boost and this is one of my issues that's getting to me I have a blow thru set up and a manual boost controller and it's maxed in I had a flange reeled thinking it was leaking there I can't run my car up and down the street to see if it needs to be under load so is it that it needs to be under load ? I need some opinions or help causing I'm ready to quit and sell after dumping so much money into my car. Opinions please

I'm using my msd 6al with a 2 step box controlling rev control and line lock button with rev cut or do I need to use something else?
And I do have a boost timing retard box.

If you have no leaks in the turbo system when this is activated it will make the car boost up of the line, consistent launches and consistent times.

Well another issue that I'm trying to figure out is that around 2500 to 3500 sh rpm it breaks up like foul plugs and then take off like a bat out of hell I called msd and they told me poor signal and to check power wires and wires to ignition so that's another issue I have to solve first.

Carb is new it's electrical issue I'm betting on either bad wiring or bad msd
