Problems mounting my rims to my car

Post by im2bad4ya »

I recently purchased a TE72 '80 Sedan. I was able to get my hands on ARE Libre wheels but the wheels are 4x114 and I believe the car is 114.3. Are there any hubs that I can use on the stock axles to make the rims work or am I better off going to a machine shop to make the holes on the wheels a bit bigger to fit on the stock hub?

:? Lots of people run these rims on their cars, I have them on my car and never heard anybody say they did not fit. Im not 100% sure about this but
I dont think they make 114 and 114.3 rims. Sounds like a waste of time, never heard about 100 and 100.3 either. Either you dont have a Toyota or you got the rims with the small holes 100 or somebody changed the hubs. You tried all 4 wheels? That I know of most or all old toyotas have 114.3 wheels on.

I only checked on hub but they didn't seem to fit, maybe the rims are 4x100 but they didn't seem to be that far off. Right now the car has Z racing rims. (not a picture of my car, just the type of rim I have).

Those look like front wheel drive rims. So if they fit........ 100 to 114 is not that much of a difference, if I remember they are so close that you can actually put 3 lug nuts on the hub but the 4th one will not fit. Do you have a pic of your car, hub and rims?
