I have a 82 corolla sr5 convertible and the front struts are no good they rusted from the bottom plate where the spring sit on so I want to replace the whole thing out. I can not find any. So my question is do other strut assembly from a different year fit this car? mine has the spindle attached to it... any advice would be greatly appreciated

Yes. I have some from a later sr5 ae86 on mine. The earlier ones work as well unless you go waaaay back . Brakes may be different so take the whole assembly
