Okay..what wires connect to the red and white coming off of the distributer?

dizzy means distributor right? I'm pretty sure I did like that then I read online in this threat that I have to not use the green and purple and use the white wire instead?

dizzy means distributor right yes

You can use both option ! if you do it as per the notice it should work

Was the msd working before you purchase it

Okay thank you I'll try both ways. Yes everything was new when installed. I hear the purple and green wire are used only if I have an electronic dizzy which I have a points dizzy so I'm suppose to use the white wire but I'll try this way again.

It's going to a switch that you have to turn on before turning the key so the engine can get spark and turn on. If the switch isn't on the the engine just turns over without getting any spark.

Your installation is electronic dizzy if you not sure open the dizzy cap and show whats below

I have a stock 3tc dizzy from an 82 corolla. I read in the previous posts on this threat that means I have points and not electronic?
