They say most late model cars don't require it, but do I,? :?

Wait just as extra info,. It's going to be strapped down to a stock igniter UNTIL I get a 6al2 as a match,. I know once then I won't need it and just to make sure its still ok even on a stock igniter right :?:

Delete the ignitor ypu can always mount it back if needed
