Help me with my 2TC

Post by BigTzzy »

I have a 2TC that has been bored 30 over, high compression pistons, crane valve springs, cam, Doug Thorley tri-Y header with 2 1/4" exhaust.

With a T40 4 speed trans

The intake side is completely stock. :(

I would like to get rid of everything that the motor doesn't need to run. (like all the vacuum lines and whatever else is just emission related crap.)

I have already disconnected the air pump.

Any insight / help would be awesome.

I would like to get the engine to bare bones.

Thanks.

P.S. I have a spare motor(stock and complete with carb and everything.) and what I have been told is a T50 trans.(I hope to put this in my car as I would love to have the 5 speed)

Go with a Weber 32/36 carb, only 1 vacuum line. Also many on the forum recommend blocking the water thru the intake manifold.

Block off all vacuum ports on the intake manifold (except brake booster) and make it a free breather if inspections aren't a problem.

The T50 is the only reason I switched to a 3tc/t50 in my '61 Sunbeam Alpine.............And Loving It ! :D

If you have all that try webers 38 or duals.
