In relation to dizzy/ oil pump cam gears being chewed up i contacted Crower and the reply I received is;
"I really have an answer since this is an isolated incident but I have tested these before and if a high volume pump, really thick oil “20W50” or very tight bearing tolerances this will put high stresses on the oil pump drive at high rpm. This is the only thing I can think of since our cores are the exact ones as the factory cores. Hope this helps."
I wondered if all you guys used high volume pump and or heavy multigrade oil? before asking Crower about this issue.
