it had them adjusted to spec and the car runs like a champ now. Just need a little bit of carb adj cause its running rich i think.New corolla owner here

Just bought my first 78 corolla for 450 bucks. The guy i bought it from had the head redone and when he put it back together he couldnt get it to idle at all esp. When he out it in drive it would die. So i bought it figured mebbe it was the carb cause it would run just wouldnt drive. It wasnt the carb. It turned out he hadnt adjusted the valves whgn he put the head back on. it had them adjusted to spec and the car runs like a champ now. Just need a little bit of carb adj cause its running rich i think.
