Good info but wont fit the TE2X because the engine x-members are different.
I know you know they are different but just a friendly FYI for the guys who dont.

Lol I think they're neat little motors and I respect people who go that route but I have no idea what I'm doing with a rotory.

Good point I'll have to see what they can do for the TE27.

Check out his tread from the Australian boys doing mods

They build custom kits to get a SR20 into a ke20 (same engine bay and floor pan as te27s)

I saw he does he conversion for the TA22 which is the Celica with a 2tc correct? I wonder if the mounts would be the same. The guy does nice work.

I have to correct you on this.

Yes the engine cross members are different, but the chassis is exactly the same!

I have a ke25 and I have fitted a te27 engine cross member to it, without cutting welding, simply bolts straight in.

As for the gearbox mount it simply gets moved further back on the same chassis rails and bolts into the factory holes.

If you were to buy one of these kits it would bolt straight into your Te2X

!00% correct that chassis is the same but the way I read it is "block mounts". Unless it comes with the engine x-member or you install a KE2X x-member I wouldnt think it would bolt up because the engine mounts are not the same and they will land where the KE2X mounts are but maybe Im seeing it wrong. If that TE27 x-member in your car is from Jon then thats probably the one he got from me and I also own a KE26 with a TE2X x-member that was done 12 years ago and I helped my friend do his conversion in the 80's so I do know a little about what Im talking about.

Apologies on my first reading of the of the link, I put up, I had thought it included an engine cross member.

If you would like a ke2# cross member then I have a spare and could ship it to you.

Peace
