I use a water plug for the EGR front port.

This is the NON EGR T-stat housing

And this is the Trimed/Modified EGR T-stat housing

Also you can buy Set screws at any bolt and tread store to achieve this.

Out of curiosity why did you remove the T fitting on the thermostat housing for the water pump and the intake mani?

Cuz i dont want hot antifreeze to heat up my intake manifold plenum floor, i do block the intake side water passage also in the intake manifold with JB weld so no water from the head to the manifold keeping a colder / denser intake charge, = little more power!

When you installed the water plug in the front of the head, other than cleaning out the carbon did you do anything special to get it in there?

If you remove the waterpump bypass fitting then you have to remove the thermostat or your radiator hose will pop off or the belt will slip. I do the same but I dont run thermostat but Im in Hawaii.

So where does all the water thats being pushed go? Not circulating through block or radiator when cold. That is a lot of unnecessary drag at minimum.

The T-stat is not hermetically sealed there there is always seepage of fluid there and it is a little orifice with a loose piece of metal the let fluid thru, Called the jiggle valve, this also let air pockets out of the system when filled up,

Also it got the Heater hoses that are not ruled by the T-stat, which let the fluid run from one side to the other.

There is no such thing like pop out radiator hoses or Water Pump belts, that just dont happen, cuz is not a sealed hi pressure water pump system.
