I would'nt jump to conclusions. I bult vintage VWs before I started on toyotas. Sucks that you are on swing axle. Might there be an IRS conversion in the future? I am looking forward to vids :D

no irs..my goals are 20 lbs (10 more lbs) with a better carb setup..ill throw a super diff and billet covers at the trans and maybe a longer ring and pinion. I too grew uo in the aircooled world and love the butterfly look. at the end of the day if it does 2nd gear power wheelies on the street when I please ill be happy.

First drive in a bit..making it a bit more street friendly..added shocks and finalized the ride height..can't wait to throw more boost at her

Been awhile.. Cleaned 40 years of rust out in the coolant passages..installing a honda 3 core aluminum radiator and a saturn alternator.
