Alright, I've been crunching numbers recently and have lot's of ideas for engine work or maybe a swap.

If I stay 3tc, I want to stay n/a and get as much power as I can.
My ideas: (take it to the machine shop)
-shave the head as much as safely possible. $70
-port and polish $200
---with my current setup I'd say ~205 +/- hp at the crank
-75 shot nitrous kit $400?
----roughly 280+/- hp at the crank for > $700? Correct me if I'm wrong...

4g63t
-complete engine is $250 (no turbo/manifold)
-race valvesprings $120
-fmic $150
-manifold and turbo $225
-boost controller -$150
-trans and adaptor -$400
-nice bov -$120
-ecu $100
-engine mounts ~$200
-complete rebuild ~$500
Roughly 330+/- hp at the crank for ~$2000????

Sr20det, rebuilt with rb25 trans $2200
Complete with everything.
-boost controller $150
-engine mounts ~$200
No idea on numbers for hp, since I don't know anything about them for $2550

F20c complete swap w/ trans for $2800
-ITBs $???
-cam kit $???
-engine mounts ~$200
300+ hp for $4k or more.

Obviously my wallet would like to stay 3tc, but I would like maybe a little more power without needing to buy new pistons and rods and a turbo setup. ~$2200 without machine work.

I like the look of side drafts and itbs, and the lack of complications from a turbo setup (since that is an unknown world to me) I also like the feeling of stepping on the gas and getting instant power. Also you cant beat the sound of side drafts IMO.

What is your guy's takes on this.

P.s. the prices listed are what I know I can get things for.

That's honestly what I'm leaning toward because I love the torque it puts out. Here in a week or so, I am going to get my head shaved, and ported and polished for a nice little hp gain :)

Looks like your not sure of which way to go. n/a will make max 150 hp unless you reaally do alot to it, like 12 to 1 or higher and a mad port and polish and a huge cam. 3tc turbo with he right setup will make easy 400hp, which is plenty for the street. Decisions

Staying n/a for now.
I have a 296 cam, and I am going to get my head shaved to the max, along with a good port and polish. Then maybe a 75 shot of nitrous :)
