Hello from Scotland!

Hi Guys....I'm Brian from Scotland and I run a TA22 with a 2t/3t twincam.

I've been a Toyota fan all my life and used to be a mechanic back in the 70's which is where I got the love for all things TA22!

I restored one a few years ago and sorted the engine, suspension and brakes but I've blown 2 T50's and am about to blow another and I really don't abuse them but they can't handle the torque of my engine.
This is where 3T Garage.com comes in to play......I was searching the Internet to find a way to fit a W58 to my 2T block, and a simple way if possible!!
And it led me to this place where I find the very thing I need, a W58 to 3T adapter.
My life is saved!
I'll read around the Forum and see where I can fit in.
Regards,
Brian

WELCOME. How much torque does it take to blow up a t50?

Thank you for the welcome!
About 160ftilbs. It's more so because of my diff (4.6) which means it pulls 5th gear like a train. It's so easy to just floor it without changing gear and that's what puts strain on the layshaft and kills the Input bearing.
I've one T50 box left and I'll use that whilst I gather all the parts to fit my W58.
Brian
