The steering box on the Roach is leaking.

Any gotchas I need to be aware of in attempting a rebuild kit?

Good luck!! The nut in the bottom is really on there if you dont have a compressor and gun to take it out. The thing that leaks is the seal on the bottom. So here is the good luck part, I ordered online FROM toyota the seal for it and it did not fit. I took it to the dealership to get the right one and told me that was the right seal also. Pretty much nobody knew what else to do because its an old car........
The one I got was smaller that what its supposed to be. So before attempting it I would make sure you start early in the day so you can take it out and go to part stores and see if they have it or close to it. I dont have time to do it yet so I dont have a part number that would work. However if you go to toyota the part they gave me was 44107E. So I guess thats ALL they have for it. I mean you can try it, maybe it will fit your car and I got an unlucky fit or "special" one.
So let me know what happens with this and what kit did you get, if you do need another seal like me and you find one that fits, TELL THIS GUY RIGHT HERE!!!!!

Nothing to report . . .

Work and other projects have pushed the Roach to the back burner.
