The few of you that have a/c working, do you take it to the mechanic or do you fill it up with cans yourself? If you fill it up with cans, for the first time what do you use? You need oil and freon and I dont trust parts stores to give me the right thing. So all in one or what oil can and freon works on these cars?
PS I know I have to change other parts, I just want to know filling the compressor part about it.

Yeah I know how to do all that. Its just the oils are different to put in them. They sell oil by themselves and freon or both together. Thats really my question. I already went to a parts store to fill a compressor for a different car, long story short he said he gave me everything I needed and when I put it on it worked for like a day. They took it to a mechanic and told me it did not have enough oil in the system. Fool me once shame on you right?

Now that its my car and cant trust them I need this info. By the looks of it I will have to wing it out!
