That is BS, These are a good gear and still being made by the original manufacture. If you do not set them up the backlash correctly, then you will have problems and you still have to address the oil squirters to insure enough lubrication get to the gears themselves. You build up a lot of heat and the lubrication is what take that heat away. Yes, it makes a cool sound when running, but those tiny pin bearing have to be fed plenty of oil so that they do not eat each other from friction.
Look at the picture on this site: Note the addition part under the gear drive, he has built a metal valley to capture falling oil from the oil squirter that lubricates the upper chain, This valley helps to lubricate the gear teeth because they also found out that the teeth were not receiving enough oil.
I'm still looking for the picture of the modified cover with the oil supply to the pin bearing. You can look at the upper oil squirter in the next picture on this site. (Metal bolt with the line across it to show the direction the oil is squirting.)

AND PLUS GOT RIP OFF FROM BRD $1100.00 SOMETHING PROBABLY ABOUT 5yrs AGO...WHEN ORDER PARTS FROM BRD AND NEVER GOT IT....AND NEVER GOT MONEY BACK FROM BRD...BRD SAID WAS MY FAULT BECAUSE I NEVER PUT INSURANCE ON DA PACKAGE
