First up is the Manual choke Carburetor off my 1971 Corolla.

As Bob said. Both operate mechanically the same. You may have different jets which could benifit when tuning.

The question to ask is: If you choose the carb with electrical devices, do you have any idea where to connect them?

I'd choose mechanical as that gives less things to think about and connect up.
