Looking at replacing the clutch behind my 3TC soon. It's in a KE30.
I did have a PBR stock replacement clutch, which was still new. It was OK with a stock 3TC with headers, 2" exhaust, and 32/36 Weber, but seemed to slip a bit when driven hard. A mechanic drove the car and said it needed to be replaced.
Soon I'm going to have a 3TC with a ported head, 1mm oversized stainless steel valves, 9.8:1 compression, 280 duration camshaft (0.45" lift), and twin dellorto DHLA40 carburetors. So I'm looking for a better clutch, that can last a bit, but still easy going for daily use.
Here in Australia there are two main clutch brands Exedy and Extreme:

http://www.xtremeclutch.com.au/en/product-range/clutch
But seem to be a bit expensive when compared to brands in the USA. Was thinking of going with an Exedy Heavy Duty clutch kit, but is over $350 online and near $400 purchased through a local dealer.
So looking for alternative brands in the USA. Spec clutches seem to be much cheaper online such as ebay. Thinking about a stage 2+

What are people's experiences with the clutch they have used with their 3TC, any recommendations?

Re: Clutch for 3TC
Hi there mate,
I deal with NPC Clutch in Brisbane Qld for my 3TC clutch stuff. How they would compare to importing something I cannot say but if you tell them honestly what you are going to be doing with it they can make the right clutch.
They made the clutch behind my 3TC turbo which I was very happy with.
Cheers,
Jason

Re: Clutch for 3TC
Hi Bruce,
I was using the sprung ceramic button last time out. They gave me that combo after I found at mid 12's on the quarter mile the organic sprung clutch was slipping slightly. Streetability with the sprung ceramic button clutch was quite good although not quite as comfortable as the organic one which was just like a factory item to drive.
The best thing would be to contact the guys at the clutch mob and let them tell you the pro's and cons of what they have and which they recommend!
Boblook that is interesting that you may need to look over here is Australia for a clutch to suit your combo!
Cheers,
Jason

Re: Clutch for 3TC
I contacted NPC and they recommended the HD organic clutch, which was around $350.
Getting a Centerforce or Spec clutch from the US was costly since they charge $100 for postage.
I ended up going for an RPM HD clutch kit from Clutch Industries, which was pretty cheap:
