What would be better set up for street modified 3tc with a 296 cam and race double valve spring and ported head. MSD 6A with 10mm spark plugs and maybe a locked distributor if thats a smart idea? or coil on plug ?

Why not COP? Im planning to use yaris (1nz-fe) coils on mine.

Is because they are more tricky to make them work as the ECU trigger those smart coil packs they don't have separate control module.

Even so if you installed them with an crankangle censor how do your gone trigger them ? How do you gone determine the coil charge time and duration dwell ?
