How much more longer is the w58 compared to the t50 shifter wiseToyota1515 wrote:3tc Bellhousing need to be trimmed, but, nothing anyone with the right tools couldn't do in couple of hrs.

Not all W58 serie have the steel middle plate you still find them with aluminum asweltoyotero2dend wrote:La w55 is aluminum y la w58 tiene the middle plate en steel y the gear ratio is a bit different and I think they both share the same shifter plate so to slide it back u gonna have to get the plate out of the 154''' but that's a piece of cake to do just remember you need the 3 parts'''
This one is from an supra mk3 1989 it does have steel m plate

A little longer plus the output yoke is like the one in the automatic trannys, i recommend a one piece drive shaft if you dont have it already!hemilove wrote:What I mean is are they similar in leanth like front to back and are they bigger than the t50 by a lot

Re: w series trans.
cut the starter hump place it on the left side and the piece you cut from the left weld it on the right use the flex plate to align it then weld
and you need to work on the 4 holes to attach the tranny to the engine all this done with the flex plate in its place,,make sure to set it with the dowell pin thats on the top side of the tranny
