Filler neck turn around to fit KE70 Rad
Hi Guys,
I want to replace my radiator and the only thing I can find locally that's affordable is a KE70 Rad.
So I'm wondering if I can just flip my filler neck around and mount the KE70 Rad on the same mounting points as my current one (so no modding)
Am I thinking to easy here? Is the rad on my te71 the same as the KE? Does it mount up on the same points? Can I rotate the filler neck?
Thanks,

Hey Teun
I don't think you have another option, those te71 radiators are difficult to find. Unless you find one out of an 2tg. The ke70 radiator bolt mounting pattern look the same to me. If not you can make the installation to work on you car custom mounting. For the water neck i never done it but from the picture view it look to be possible to swap it, unless the hose don't hit the distributer.
On the other hand you can check if an radiator shop can swap the radiator outlet for you if its no expensive.
Did you check the carina Ta1x radiators??

Haven't found a Carina radiator yet, so haven't checked. Are they similar?
Swapping over the outlet on the rad is a good idea as well, this might also be a good backup option.
Looking at this picture, I think it's time to give my engine a good clean as well

that neck turns around no problem...but if the tanks on your rad. are good a rad repair shop can replace the panel for you
