shaving a head.

Alright, since I'm slightly worried that my head may be warped a little... I am taking it to the machinist.
I was wondering how much it can be shaved, and maybe a rough number of how much power I will gain.
I don't know much about it other than it will raise my compression a little and assure the proper sealing of my head gasket.

Will the hp/tq difference, if any, be noticeable or not? I may be wrong, but I wouldn't think it would do more than 5 hp gain...

That's what I was thinking I read somewhere... I wouldn't think that would make a noticeable difference though.
