Hi there mate,
The 13T engine has strange shaped pistons to match the strange pre-combustion chamber design in the head.

If you are installing a 2TG head at a bare minimum you want to carefully check piston to valve clearance. A set of regular 3TC pistons would be my first choice if you can get them but probably not essential.

Cheers,
Jason

the pistons from 2tg engine is not used. them I have for several sets and will be the easiest for me unless I go out and buy some new pistons

The 13T pistons cannot be used if you are going to put on a 2TG, 3TGTE 2T or 3T head.

As Jason said, you will have to change out the 13T pistons!!!

^That is what 13T pistons look like, as opposed to the symnetrical, domed/plateau'd pistons of the various 2T/3T motors. I was sold a shaved 13t head and these pistons as "high compression" 3TC gear before I realized what they were. It's not technically wrong, but certainly not what I was after. To reiterate what everyone else has said, 13T pistons will almost certainly not work with any other head because of the steep ramp causing valve clearance issues. That said, a 13t head may work with a 2T/3T variant set of pistons, though it will probably do weird things to compression and squish area...
